Excellent service, friendly hosts and very good food
Lovely people here. Very cozy, but classy too. First thing when we sat down they brought us each a glass of prosecco. And within a couple minutes we heard American music playing over the speakers. The bruschetta was delicious and the buffalo mozzarella as well. We ordered a bottle of the house wine, very good. For our main course she had spaghetti pomodoro and I had the lasagne ragu. Both were fantastic. Soon after that our server gave us a tour of their wine cellar and chatted a bit down there. Then showed us pictures of Bill Clinton reading there. They are very proud of that! Did dessert we shared a big tiramisu and capped it all off with two large classes of limoncelo. So to conclude, this is easily my favorite restaurant in Rome. Excellent food, excellent service and we had a great time.
Easily the absolute best restaurant we went to in Rome. Finally some good food! The owners tended to us personally, and even took us for a tour of the cellar downstairs. The food was delicious. If we had known about this place sooner, we would've gone to eat there every day.
Our first evening in Rome and we stumble upon this quiet gem tucked away behind a few alleys and in a quiet area, so we enjoyed our dinner outside. We 've endulged ourselves into a 'shared ' table d 'hôte, for 45€ and we have no regrets. A chefs tasting menu with fresh pasta, lamb and multiple other savoury dishes to sink our teeth into, and sauce to drown our bread in. What a treat! I expressed such enthusiasm, and to my dismay, the waiter invited us into the basement of their restaurant to view what looked like the ruins of an old roman home along with an impressive wine cellar. Definitely a great way to start our first visit to Rome! Thank you for your hospitality and send our compliments to the chef!
