Írjon visszajelzéstMy boyfriend and I were excited to visit the restaurant as part of our trip around Europe. The food was certainly interesting and parts of the meal such as the main courses of deer and beef) were delicious! However a large number of dishes were...just fine/ average or not particularly nice at all eg the ramen) which given the price was a little disappointing. The meal was capped off in a particularly awkward fashion when the bill arrived and we were charged €11 for tap water. When we raised this to the waiter he argued that we were paying for the glasses to be cleaned ... we rather assumed this was swallowed by the vast mark up all restaurants put on their food). Overall a fine experience, but not at all worth the €217 euros charged for mediocre food, wine and service. The hotel however is lovely .. so do stay there even if you don’t eat at the restaurant!
Superb and very creative cuisine, great wine pairings. Wonderful staff friendly, attentive, served the courses as quickly or slowly as you wanted. Truly a highlight of our week in Germany. Get there before Michelin does!
This is a very good restaurant. The creative menu was presented and served by an enthusiastic and personable staff. Each course was delicious and delivered at just the right time. (Octopus was the standout. . It was a nice touch too for the young chef to...visit the room at the end of service and chat with the guests. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Very special meal at this restaurant while on a two night stay in Rothenburg Ob der Tauber which is just outside the old town. A degustation menu with 3 different options of the number of plates. For a very special dinner this is the place...to go. Especially if you would like to get away from the bus loads of tour groups that invade the old town for dinner
We stumbled into the hotel Villa Mittermeier and asked Where should we eat? ' Here, of course! Expecting sausage and cheese, we reserved, And were blown away by one of the most inventive delicious surprising fun well I could go on but you get the...idea. The menu is like a code no long descriptions of the deliciousness to come, but things like Warm Up ...Gazpacho/Basil/Mozzarella . Leave your expectations at the door this was tiny chemistry flasks with fresh watermelon and tomato gazpacho, and tiny madeleines that we are told not to chew but to let dissolve on our tongues. Grudgingly we do and they melt and almost fizz and leave a wash of deliciousness that enhances the soup and brings silly smiles to our faces. Photo below. And that was just the beginning. You can choose the Small Experience (me) the Medium Experience (my husband) or the Large Experience. He had carrots and miso sounds so simple but I almost refused a bite because I 'm not a big carrot fan these came with two little plinths of silky deliciousness, tiny carrots and a sauce that made me want to steal his dish and lick it. The fish with the creamiest risotto think cream sauce with plenty of acid for interest and risotto for texture and what I thought were diced young fava beans below but were in fact perfectly cooked nettles, a bit of tooth to them more silly smiles. The Old Milk Cow sounds strange and off putting, I tried to order something else, but trust the chef. Beef, rich and flavorful and tender but not too.. And the dessert! Green balls with a hard white chocolate shell, liquid white chocolate and a tangy mango puree inside. A riff on an egg but oh so delicious! and surprising. The chef is clearly having fun, and challenging you to trust him. Trust him. Trust the Maitre D you can 't go wrong. And as we did you will leave full (but not too), smiling, and thinking about food in a slightly different way. Chef: Tadej Mesko. Maitre D 'Hotel: Pascal Wagner. Tadej comes out to tell you about each dish, and he clearly loves what he is doing and seeing your delight. Pascal will tell you about what they are doing and why, and he is a wizard at pairing food and wine. Worth a detour. Go!
