Lucky's Grill - Round Rock

The food here was excessively salty, and the establishment itself was not very clean. The bartender seemed indifferent to serving customers who weren’t sitting at the bar. When we visited, there were fewer than ten people present. As a Chicago native, I found the Italian beef and chili cheese fries nearly inedible. The hot dog bun was either stale or overcooked, lacking the proper steaming technique essential for a true Chicago dog. Additionally, the hot dog itself was surprisingly small. Several tables hadn’t been cleaned, and the women’s restroom was in poor condition, with pink and black residue in the toilet. While we waited far too long for our food, the bartender was eating her own meal at the bar. Overall, we felt unwelcome, and simply asking for food made us uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Now, for the not-so-great news: when I entered, I asked for a menu. I had no issues scanning the QR code, but it directed me to a third-party app that I would need to install—what a hassle! I also noticed that their website had an outdated domain, making it impossible to find an online menu besides this frustrating app. I'm not sure how they plan to generate revenue aside from alcohol sales; it seems to be working for them since there were quite a few patrons enjoying drinks during the day. I even saw someone walk in, struggle to figure out how to place an order, and ultimately leave. To top it off, the tables hadn't been cleaned since the previous night. Overall, it feels like the new owner is struggling to manage the business effectively. I really hope they get things sorted out soon.

The three heavyset men who work there have the worst attitudes. They all seem so unhappy. I visited this morning, and the indifferent bartender kept grumbling about how busy it was and how he didn’t want to be there. I will never spend another cent at this place.

Wow, been going here since the place opened, and the original owners would be saddened of what it has become. To call yourself a Chicago food eatery, you absolutely have to have a decent italian beef sandwich. Mine today was the worst I have had in my life. Wayyyyy too much salt, really bad seasoning, and a bun they probably picked up at walmart made for an extremely poor experience. Soggy, salty fries just made me feel ripped off. My suggestion, get someone that knows what these items are supposed to taste like give you some feedback...not the guys ogling at your bartender

The food is so good. I’ve tried the Sante Fe burger, Italian beef, the Chicago style hot dog and more. The hot dog is the real deal. Everything is well seasoned. The staff are very nice and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back!
