Costi Fish Market - ROUSE HILL

I simply love the place as the fish is always fresh when they cook it.You can have it battered or grilled and they serve it with salad and tartare sauce.

The seafood is always fresh and displayed really well. Great variety and really friendly and helpful staff. Quick hot food service. The prawns at Christmas were delicious and reasonably priced.

On new year's eve I bought the cooked huge prawns (I think they were banana prawns) from Costi Seafoods Rouse Hill. They were expensive and looked great, but when we peeled and ate them, they were so full of salt, you could not even taste the prawn. We were crunching pieces of salt when eating the prawns. When we unpacked them, you could see the salt crystals all over them. We had people over and it was very embarrassing, we only ate half the prawns and threw the rest out, they were so salty. One of the people we had over must have a low salt diet, so they only had the one prawn. We were so thirsty during the night from all the salt. This is extremely disappointing, I have bought prawns and other seafood from here many times and it has been beautiful, but I will look elsewhere to buy the prawns. I have tried to phone Costi, but there is no answer.

Been for lunch and dinner many times over the last 6 years or so. Great takeaway and beautiful fresh fish, prawns, calamari.

Really run down in it's appearance but the staff are friendly and the fresh seafood is nice. So too is the cooked seafood. Good value for money and worth a visit instead of the regular shopping centre take aways.
