Írjon visszajelzéstI am disappointed to say that I had a negative experience at this restaurant. A few years ago, I had a good meal there. However, this time, I had to wait 24 hours to see if I would get food poisoning. My friend's wife ordered the salmon and sat next to me. The smell was overwhelming, and I thought it was coming from the fish. I took a few bites of my 8oz. Filet steak and immediately noticed something was off. When I cut into a larger piece, the smell of spoiled meat made me gag. I asked my companions to smell it, and they agreed that it was bad. The waitress refused to smell the meat and quickly took the plate away without offering an apology. The manager confirmed that the meat was bad and disposed of it, apologizing and offering another entree. I declined, fearing the potential health consequences. I cannot understand how this happened as the stench was so strong that the cook should have noticed. It seems like the meat was left out overnight or mishandled. As I write this review, I am anxiously awaiting any symptoms of food poisoning. It may be a long night.
During our two-day stay in Rouyn-Noranda, we were looking for a local, high-end restaurant. We decided to try Le Celier and made a reservation. We were not disappointed; the service was excellent and the food was even better. The dishes were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. It was definitely worth the 7-hour drive from Oshawa!
After not visiting for nearly two years, we were delighted to see Shanelle, who reminded us of our previous visit for a glass of wine and a Bison Burger in the bar area. My husband enjoyed the burger so much that he had it twice more during our stay at the hotel. This time, I want to highlight the Roast Beef Dinner Night, where I took my 96-year-old grandmother. The staff who served us were considerate and respectful, giving us ample space and time to enjoy the experience as the meat was carved and plated.
My friend and I were attached to this bar at the hotel and we both went here for appetizers and drinks. We sat at the bar and Shanelle served us both times- truly, she's the reason we came back and we hope she...what works! My friend is french and I speak zero french and she had no problem switching back and forth to turn around with us both. The food was amazing (escargot, Bison Sandwich). Very recommended!
Loved the ambience, nicely spaced apart for social distancing, terrific service for both supper and breakfast, food was delicious. Had a seafood dish and dessert, husb had rack of lamb. Both were great choices. Breakfast was quick, tasty and just what a breakfast should be...with bottomless cups of coffee.
