Al Tanoor Iraqi - Roxburgh Park

I visited this restaurant for the first time with my family while we were out shopping, and we had a fantastic experience. We ordered a sheesh wrap combo, a mixed meat platter, and an order of rice, and we loved everything. The food was flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. My picky 5-year-old particularly enjoyed the chicken, minced meat sheesh, and rice. The sheesh wrap combo also includes a drink and fries, and surprisingly, even I, who usually don't like fries, finished them all this time. Our total came to $47, and I would definitely return.

After reading all the glowing reviews, I was really looking forward to my visit, but my experience turned out to be incredibly disappointing. My meal lacked flavor and felt stale. The mixed kebab was dry and seemed old, the grilled meat was far from fresh, and the rice was undercooked. I won't be returning and certainly can't recommend it, especially since I ordered a very simple dish that didn't meet expectations at all.

The food was enjoyable, although there was a bit too much meat for my taste. The vegetables were excellent—perhaps pickled or prepared in a special way. The service was decent; the staff member was polite but seemed to forget some minor requests, like an extra glass, plate, and spoon.

First time tried Iraqi food and to be honest it was delicious, but a little bit oily which was alright! The waiter was not friendly at all and had no smile on her face : didn’t like the customer service there at all. Don’t think would go there again
