Írjon visszajelzéstWe recently visited Ronin Sushi, and it was a decent experience. The atmosphere was quite nice, but be aware that some seats in the upstairs lounge don't have backs! I would recommend going to the lounge for drinks, but I wouldn't suggest having a full meal there—it's worth the wait to get a table downstairs. The shrimp with yuzu appetizer was delicious, and the sashimi was fresh. The sushi was okay—not bad, but also not particularly memorable. Both my boyfriend and I ordered whiskey sours, and they were very tart. I'd definitely return for the ambiance and the appetizers/sake. One random suggestion: please organize the menus better! It was a bit challenging to navigate the three menus, especially since some had overlapping food items and cocktails while others did not. Streamlining the menu would really enhance the experience.
My apologies but this was a-bit low on my scale for sushi. I wasn't a fan of the seating because everyones knees could touch the plates. The interior was nice and dark how i like it, but something about the choice in lighting felt odd. For the food. The Tuna tartare had wayyy too many tomatoes that are very overpowering to begin with which made me feel like i was eating a bowl of tomatoes and chips. The ribs were best thing on the table but heavily relied on the sauce and were not seasoned underneath it at all. They were very tender, but gave me the feeling they were not fresh. I was truly not a fan of the melted cheese roll. I have never had nor seen a roll like that, but the concept is interesting however the flavor was bland and oily from the cheese. The rolls in total looked amazing but were honestly a bit underwhelming and the only one i liked was drenched in sauce (helped it alot) Also waffle fries on a sushi place menu confused me a bit i wont say a solid 3 but a 2.7 suffices
Ronin is an outstanding choice for sushi lovers. Conveniently located in downtown Royal Oak, there is street parking available all around. The restaurant’s decor features rich wood and leather, creating a modern rustic aesthetic, while the ambiance adds a contemporary vibe. While there are tables in the dining area, my friends and I prefer to relax in the lounge on the comfortable leather sofas. The food is delicious! They offer unique specialty sushi rolls like the Sea Monster and the BLT roll that you won’t find anywhere else. Plus, they have happy hour specials and seasonal menu items. The lemon jasmine rice is particularly noteworthy. With a full bar and expertly crafted cocktails, Ronin is the perfect spot if you want to enjoy a cozy atmosphere with friends and indulge in some great sushi!
Great sushi but pricy. You pay for the atmosphere which is great. The lounge is nice in the summer with the doors open. The cocktails rotate and are always good. Service is great.
What a fun time at Ronin. Great spot to meet up for dinner and drinks before a show at RO Theater next door. We met up for Happy Hour, which was amazing, so much food and lots of drinks! We had a blast. The tuna was out of this world and the dumplings....OMG! I can't wait to come back.
