The Orient - Rushcliffe

I have visited this restaurant a few times and despite a few changes in the menu, it remains one of the best I have tried recently! The crispy chili beef is amazing, as well as the rice and chow mein. I would have given it a 5-star rating if the chicken balls weren't made with generic chicken in thick batter, but that is a minor issue. I recommend trying it out!

Like other reviews mentioned, this Chinese takeaway in Bridgford is definitely one of the best.

Wrong food delivered due to items being in the wrong sections on just eat. Thought I’d ordered king prawn curry I got Szechuan something also ordered Singapore chow Mein and I got them vercilli stringy noodle things which were so dried up they looked like...they had been left uncovered under hot lights. I also ordered salt and pepper king prawns which were hard and egg fried rice which did look ok. I thought I’d got the wrong order so I rang up and the reception I got was totally unacceptable. I can accept that it’s partly my fault on the order side because I didn’t double check, I just saw king prawn in the curry section and clicked on it as with the chow Mein but when I spoke to the bloke it was my fault right down to the stringy noodles being unedible and according to him completely the wrong colour for a chow mein!!!!! Regardless of the fact that it was the wrong food he never offered any recompense whatsoever for the dried up and hard food that I did receive, he just kept saying that that’s what I ordered so that’s what I got.
