Írjon visszajelzéstAfter reminiscing about a trip exactly 10 years ago, I decided to return to this restaurant and was delighted to find that it was just as good as I remembered. The room was lovely, the pub had a charming atmosphere, the staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed sitting by the open pub fire. I highly recommend booking the dinner and breakfast package for fantastic value for money.
I found The Kings Arms to be a great discovery. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. The food is outstanding, with a focus on local ingredients. The various meat dishes all looked very appetizing. We started with the charcuterie, accompanied by assorted pickles, which was absolutely delicious. I ordered the 'pub pie' with beef and Stilton, while my wife had the deer steak. Both dishes were cooked and presented beautifully. The pub also sells a variety of smoked meats that they make in-house. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend The Kings Arms for its excellent food and ambiance.
As you enter you are greeted by cosy seating and a welcoming open fire by friendly and efficient staff. However, what really makes this pub a standout venue is the quality of the food. Specialising in locally sourced game and with bread made on site everything was delicious. At £22.95 for two (very filling) courses the value for money and atmosphere made this visit the first of what will be many!
We meet our friends for a Sunday lunch several times a year it’s a good half way point for us all, we’ve tried other local gastro pubs and nowhere is as good at The Kings Arms. Had lunch here yesterday and it’s fabulous. Easy to book, loads of space to park on site, cosy atmosphere, friendly and very efficient staff and a super roast lunch. Perfect.
We’ve just had a lovely overnight stay at this gastro pub. Check in was seamless and self service. We stayed in granary suite which is really roomy and comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant and oh my word, the food is outstanding. We both had Jimmys Parma style ham to start which was served with a crostini, poached pear, baron bigood cheese, onion relish and Parma stud ham. For mains we had fallow dear and Hereford duo of beef and we shared the double chocolate mousse for pudding. Prices for the standard of good are good but the prices for the great quality wines even better. Many similar places would hike the wine prices up to match the food but huge respect for them not following suit. Service was wonderful, the whole team are just lovely
