We went here recently for a late lunch, the staff were really friendly and accommodating even tho we came in when the kitchen was almost closing. I ordered a beef burger ( I'm not sure of the exact name ) but it was probably the best burger I've ever had!! i recommend this place if you're ever in Rye.

I visited here with a group of 5 earlier this month. We were seated and noticed that it was very busy and hoped that would mean we were in for a treat. First we ordered done drinks (coffees) that took 20mins to arrive, we shrugged this off and put it down to how busy the cafe was. We ordered food which then took just over an hour to arrive, in the meantime a new table of four was seated next to us, ordered after us, got their food before us, finished and left and were then replaced by another table who ordered and got their food at the same time as us. Whilst we were waiting patiently we requested some more coffees (which never arrived) and we are assured that our food wouldn't be too much longer (it was a further 20 min wait after being told this). When we finally got our good only my friend who got the eggs benidict was happy with her food. We left and politely told the girl at the counter about our experience and had our first round of drinks taken off the bill, as well as the second round (that we never received). I wouldn't hurry back.

I like the casual and relaxing atmosphere. I ordered 'Salad of the day'. It was penne with olives, sun dried tomato, herbs topped with shaved cheese. Nice flavour, but the penne was a bit undercooked for me. For those who prefer hot coffee, make sure your preference is noted when order.

Really friendly service, staff couldn't do enough for us. Lovely spot opposite the beach. Trendy and vintage decor. BUT.... BUT.. the breakfast was THE BEST. It was tasty, wholesome and there was a lot of it! I could not fault anything! Thanks for a great experience.
