The Moors Inn - Ryedale

We were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food at this restaurant. The vegetables were very soggy and overcooked, and the beef stroganoff was more like a lump of bark rather than strips of meat as it should be. The stroganoff also had a strange taste of wine grapes. Throughout the meal, no one checked in to see if everything was satisfactory. This experience was a letdown during our stay in North Yorkshire, which ended on a disappointing note. Despite being recommended by locals, we cannot in good faith recommend this place to others. There was no empathy shown by whoever took our money, and we were left wondering if the owners even cared about the experience of tourists or just catered to locals. We have visited many places in Yorkshire, but this restaurant stands out as one of the worst for customer support. We don't believe our expectations were too high, especially in today's economy.

I booked a couple of evening meals at this restaurant while staying near Gillamoor. Both meals were excellent and among the best I have ever had in a pub. The venison haunch was a high quality cut and cooked perfectly. We dined in the bar area, which was very comfortable, cozy, and dog-friendly, as they strive to be a country pub. The dishes were delicious and well-prepared, and the atmosphere had a nice mix of locals and tourists.

We had lunch indoors at this restaurant. The service was attentive but not overpowering. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious and they offer a nice variety of ales.

We visited with friends, good menu and excellent specialties, we had venison with haggis and heavy fish on parma ham, both were beautiful. also excellent pudding menu, crumb with custard, lemon posset and sticky toffee pudding. everything was absolutely delicious, great menu, fresh...Great good with the drive for a meal

The food was wholesome and hot with items that I had not seen before Wensleydale and Mushroom for a starter it was so nice..............
