Hop Gardens - Sacramento

I know this might sound exaggerated, but the margherita pizza could be the best pizza I've ever tasted. And I truly love pizza. The staff behind the bar were great too. I just happened to find this place, and it has become a cherished memory for me.

It was our first visit, but definitely not our last. The Uncle Pete's pizza was absolutely delicious, and the salad was the perfect size for sharing between two. They had a fantastic selection of beers as well. The staff was both knowledgeable and welcoming.

If you're going to charge $8 for a 16oz draft beer, you should definitely offer a 1oz sample beforehand. It would help avoid wasting a whole glass of beer if someone doesn't enjoy it.

What a wonderful day, went kayaking on the river, and came off the water hungry. Hop Garden was well worth our time. Back patio is so cute, even though it was hot out this day. Wr did move to the AC inside. We will be back.

We just had a family gathering here for our 1-year-old's first birthday. Jeannine (the owner) helped us plan the event. She was responsive, kind, and very accommodating. There were no additional fees--we simply reserved a space and family ordered the food and drinks they wanted off of our party's tab. We did have the option to order food in advance of the event as well, though we did not feel we needed to.We had our party on their back patio, which is a wonderful, relaxed space. They have misters to keep everything comfortably cool even on an August day. Lots of space for the little ones to crawl around. Staff at the restaurant offered help and checked on us throughout the party. Food and drinks were fresh and delicious. We couldn't have been happier, and would definitely recommend Hop Gardens for a birthday party or other event, or just for friends and family to gather and be together. 5 stars!Kid-friendliness: Lots of space for little kids to crawl around and have a good time. Many families here. The back patio is particularly kid-friendly. A great place to go where kids can run around and be a bit loud, and parents don't have to feel guilty.
