King's Fish More - Saginaw

Most of u know I'm from the south and I have been on a SEARCH for good food here in Saginaw. I am getting closer and closer. The dude at Kings said I'd be back once I tasted the food. You MIGHT be right sir if you see this lol.

Similar to another review I seen on here, Customer service over the phone is awful. This was my first time and likely will be my last time ever coming back to this place. I wanted more info on a particular item and the owner seemed tense and frantic alluding me to just come in and get a menu because his establishment was busy. I wasn't going to go originally but I went anyway. When I got there it was dark, it almost didn't seem as if the place was even open. Went to the front door it's opaque and you can't view anything inside. All I could hear was voices. My anxiety was heightened cause I wasn't sure what to expect on the other side of the door. Went in, it was only a few people there and they were already seated. It didn't appear busy at all like he claimed on the phone. I got my order in, the owner was more cordial by the end of my visit but by that point just given his attitude and the atmosphere of the place I just wasn't happy or felt welcomed as a first time customer.The foods presentation was good however the sides tasted bland and like they were microwaved out of a can. There's not enough transparency in the building and the lighting is poor. Not a very appealing place to attract new customers. Also, the owner needs to be a bit more gracious to customers calling on the phone. Overall I wasn't very impressed or felt welcomed here and the vibe or atmosphere is just not hitting the mark for me. I will not be back!!

Food is just done right. For the price you can't beat it. Had the Tenders, Mac, greens, fried okra. He gave me some cornbread. Will come back many times.

Excellent food and friendly service. I've never been disappointed here, his food always hits the spot!

I'm not from the area, and was my first time. The chicken was very good!
