La Tejana Taqueria - Saint Ann

The margarita was the right side of strong. This small diner type Mexican Restaurant is not one I normally see, but its a definitely worth a visit. Staff was awesome and food was timely and well priced.

Wife and I went for taco Tuesday and decided to go with the lunch specials, 2 tacos with rice and beans. Including drink paid less than $20 and definitely got our money worth. I got a cow head and Al Pastor taco which were absolutely delicious. The cow head was very soft and the Al pastor was perfectly cooked. The corn tortillas tasted home made and everything was well seasoned with good portions. Will definitely be back to try more.

The service was quick and friendly. I ordered the consomé de borrego to go, and I was very pleased with it. The flavor was truly authentic and fresh. The rice and beans were also delicious. I will definitely be back to try other dishes!

I have to say, the street tacos at La Tejana are some of the best I've ever had! The flavor is incredible, the prices are reasonable, and they offer a wide variety of authentic meats to choose from for the tacos. This is by far the best hidden gem Mexican restaurant I've found in the entire St. Louis area. The photos aren’t the best because I took them after devouring the first four tacos quickly!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an authentic Mexican restaurant for the first time, and it exceeded my expectations. I tried the fish tacos, which were delicious—well-portioned and beautifully presented. I also enjoyed a steak quesadilla that was fantastic. The staff was excellent and very attentive. Since I left, I can't stop thinking about the food and my overall experience. I'm heading back today because it was just that good. I highly recommend giving it a try!
