La Langouste

Dinner at La Langouiste was the best of our trip to St Barth. It's in a magical setting and offered us impeccable service, the freshest fish, a tableside introduction of the spiny lobster that would be my night's meal, a decadent profiterole for dessert and a complimentary drink of rhum vanille at the end. La Langouiste is located up and around a series of winding roads, tucked away on the back veranda of a small hotel along the Flamands beach. After dinner, a stroll along the ocean is a lovely ending to a perfect evening.

Not really as interesting as others suggest ... I guess if you like French, ie. sauce with everything, rich rich food it is like that but otherwise really pretty average ... Staff were very good and the place looks good to stay but the food was really average.

We had both lunch and dinner here. Food was excellent. Setting is in a hotel by the pool with views of the sea. Staff is friendly. For St. Barths, prices are reasonable. A bit out of town but worth the drive.

Wonderful fresh tuna and fish (sea bream). Melt in your mouth wonderful! Simply served with excellent service! This was one of the best meals we had during our 8 day stay on the island!
