What’s not to love about these local hangouts? The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. However, those barstools are a different story; they could easily be used for interrogation! Without a footrest, they’re incredibly uncomfortable.

I would like to take back a review I wrote about a year ago. I recently took some friends to this restaurant for their first visit, and we all enjoyed the food, even though it was quite busy. I mentioned that the liver and onions could have used sautéed onions, which is just my personal preference – I’ll be sure to make that request next time. I've visited this place many times, and it’s always been great. However, I’ve noticed that food prices have risen quite a bit, but I understand that restaurants need to make a profit. I would prefer to pay a little more for larger portions. This is just some constructive feedback for the owner. Overall, it’s a fantastic place!

The food was excellent, and our server was amazing! She brought us new drinks without us even needing to ask. The prices are reasonable, and I can't wait to return and sample other dishes and some homemade pie. Just a heads up, though—it’s a cash-only establishment. While that’s fine, I personally prefer to use my debit card. I suppose this helps them save money by avoiding credit card fees.

The steak night special is a surprisingly delicious deal! A juicy 10 oz ribeye served while still sizzling on an iron skillet with two sides for less than half the cost at most other places. Drinks are a great value, too.
