Great little bar and beach area. We hiked from Lance Aux Epines, easy enough trail that took us about 2 hours taking the long way (1 hour taking the shorter trail back from the bar at a brisk pace . We went on a Wednesday and thus we're the only ones there (as mentioned elsewhere, when its not Sunday, its open when it's open! . Made it a nice secluded spot to end up on. We went snorkeling for a bit, and came back just as Roger was arriving in his boat along with a couple of others pulling up as well, sometime around 5pm. Roger was great, had a couple of rum punches and we were on our way back. If you like seclusion with a possibility of a drink or two, come in the afternoon on a non-sunday, the hike is through the Grenada dove sanctuary so makes for nice sightseeing. No real bathrooms, so take that into account. Sunday I hear is when the place really livens up, will have to make it back then.
One of my favorites. Love Roger's 34+ years nostalgic batefoot beach bar on Hog Island that is a must visit on Sundays, especially. Pull up on your dingy or boat have a drink, some delicious local food, play on the water, watch the sunset listen dance to the band. A home away from home type bar.
An UNIQUE experience, beautiful setting, normally a great bunch of people hanging around hog... And then of course there 's the famous gamechanger ROGER 'S RUM PUNCH Good food (certain days), good entertainment Friday nights when yachty musicians get together and jam.. usually a lot of fun and can some times go on quite late so remember your dinghy light. Do yourself a favor, see for yourself....you 'll jave a blast
Laid back and lovely! An experience not to be missed. Just beware of those rum punches!
