Jose's Cantina - Saint Ignace

Alisha was our server, and the food was fantastic while the service was outstanding!

This restaurant seems to miss the authentic taste of Mexican cuisine. To sum it up, the rice tasted like Rice-A-Roni (I'm almost certain it was), and the guacamole resembled avocado puree, lacking essential ingredients like tomatoes and cilantro. It also didn't taste fresh—the avocados were overripe and the flavor was overwhelming. The enchiladas I tried tasted more like a crepe drenched in excessive cheese sauce. I was part of a party of six, and none of us enjoyed our meals. When we shared our feedback with Chef/Owner Jose, he was quite defensive. I would recommend spending your hard-earned money at a place that offers better flavors.
