Chez Katina - Saint-Martin-d'Arrossa

This whole area is so beautiful and relaxing that we decided to come back. Needless to say that it was a no brainer as to where we stayed so this wonderful family run hotel had us back in a heartbeat. The service is exactly the same absolutely fantastic with the biggest smiles ever. The food is great, local, healthy and plentiful. The rooms are clean and spacious. There is absolutely nothing to dislike at all even my feral kids loved it! We just cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The madam speaks fluent english and is very pleasant indeed, as are all the staff. The food is all in a local theme with all local produce used. The whole ambience is truly rural and 100% in keeping with the basque mentality, simply splendid. The black pudding is a marvel. Wonderful place, wonderful people, splendid food.

After driving to and from Gavarine in a day we stumbled across this little gem. Food was really good, lots of local produce, e.g. Bayonne Ham, and wine and very reasonable. Going back this year more often as we only discovered it at the end of our stay. They say on their website Simple, traditional, generous... couldn 't agree more.

Nice place. The room was tiny but good bed. Against that town there's absolutely nothing, except for a restaurant that was on top, I had to go to the neighboring town to have something to eat.

The service was perfect from beginning to end! We have luncheon to 13 people including a vegetarian (me) and although it is a typical Basque restaurant, they have been able to adapt perfectly! Thank you.
