Bar Restaurant La Pierre

We stayed close by and found this lovely place, great food, great beer, and great staff, thoroughly recommend this place

We have been trying to go to this restaurant during our annual 1 week stay nearby for the past 4 years. It has historically had somewhat unpredictable opening hours, and we have never managed to arrange for us to have a meal here. However this has all changed with a total refurbishment and new owners, and we were able to book a table and enjoy a fantastic lunch time meal. There were 12 of us in the party, half of whom had the plat du jour, the remainder making choices off the a la carte menu. Without exception everyone was delighted with the meal. Some of the party had some particular requirements , all of which were met very readily and easily. The service was excellent and the food delicious, the house wines were decidedly quoffable and all at a very good price. Hopefully we can make this an annual event!

Rather nice place but very sparse starter buffet, half of the buffet dishes were empty. Dish of the day was tasty but it lacked a lot of sauce so it was relatively dry. It's a shame because the card looks really good. Maybe I'll go back to try the menu. Afterwards for the price it was ok. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
