Carmelo's Spaghetti Room - Saint Paul

My family loves Carmelo's! Kind, friendly staff, straight forward menu with a good wine selection. The bread you get with your salad is excellent! Recently remodeled (end of pandemic , the room feels cozy and authentic. The bathroom is downstairs, whichcan be tricky depending on how much wine you've had... : We'll come back again and again!

Absolutely wonderful! The BEST pasta I've ever had and their alfredo sauce is divine! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing and the service was top notch. Absolutely no complaints! I will be returning very often!

Definitely a quaint little place, very good atmosphere. The wait staff was extremely nice. Sausage ravioli with spot on. The only thing they need to do is cut back on the amount of crushed tomatoes in there tomato sauce topping. Literally a whole can of tomatos.Food: 3/5

My first visit here was a few weeks after they opened, soon after I moved to Minnesota. I’ve been back time and time again. Food? Delicious! Service? Exemplary! Atmosphere? Warm and inviting! Value? Outstanding! I go back because I love and live near this place and I feel comfortable there. I’ve read all the reviews, including the few unpleasant ones. I don’t know what the underlying unhappy peoples’ problems are, and frankly don’t care. People are certainly entitled to their opinions, and I think it speaks more to the character of the minority complainers and their attitudes then about the eatery. I’m glad they’re going elsewhere. More opportunities for me.

Server was an absolute pro. Chicken piccata was as good as I've had anywhere. House salad with creamy peppercorn dressing was surprisingly thoughtful and fresh. Great little neighborhood place.Food: 5/5
