We had lunch at COFHER today, just outside Sainte Hermine, in the Parc Atlantique. It is, in fact, a training centre for restauration and hotellerie with a restaurant attached. At 12 euros for three courses, it is excellent value, as is the wine list (13 euros a bottle, for example, including some good local wines). You also have the option of ordering just a main, starter/main, glass of wine/pichet of wine etc. It is sensible to phone in advance, 02.51.28.83.12. Do not expect haute-cuisine, this is a cookery school but the ingredients used are fresh. It is very accessible to the Sainte Hermine motorway exit (5 minutes) and infinitely better than eating in an Aire de Service. Bon appétit!
