Írjon visszajelzéstWe had been invited by friends for supper at this place. Our first time, but their umpteenth visit. I first found it dark as the lighting was very dim, amidst many black & white pictures on the walls of famous jazz musicians from the south and New Orleans area. As the name might hint to you, the food is a southern style Cajun taste. With Blackened Fish, Hot Shrimp dishes and sweet potatoes with your plates. My dish was a Cajun Dish of Shrimp and red peppers with rice. I found the Shrimp overly spicy, requiring me to drink lots of fluid, lips were burnt but I finished the plate. I like spicy, but this was somewhat over done. Another in our party had the Fish and Chips, excellent, with spicy sweet potatoes; the other two people in our visit had the Blackened Fish, which appeared to be the best dish on the table with veggies and rice. The place was very busy, and a nice terrace area. I found the floor was missing one more waiter as the girls were jostling to meet ends with drinks and dishes to serve plus the terrace. I would go back but I would advise in advance less spice on the plate. Deserts of Key Lime pie, and other delights were excellent.
I had poulet Rochambeault and I must say how refreshing cooked to perfection , the lardons and Béarnaise were perfect.. great service, great ambiance. My husband had the BBQ shrimp but found it was too saucy and sweet but I think it was more of a difference in idea on what he expected.
Really nice interior and the waitress was very helpful and spoke perfect English.I had the hurricane cocktail and the jambalya - portions were a good size and everything tasted amazing. We tried the alligator for a starter - wasn't a huge fan but I don't think they were to blame! Would definitely come back.
The food was spicy and tasty as expected. The real new Orleans taste in your mouth. Would recommend.
Friendly service, great setting, excellent music. And of course, the food was amazing! As appetizers, we had fried pickles, calamari and andouille... Delicious! As meals we had shrimp linguini, blackened fish and the Louisiana combo. All very good. The dessert menu had some very tempting items on it... But we resisted. We will be back to try them out. Can't wait to return! Enjoy!
