The biscuits tasted more like Red Lobster Cheddar biscuits than traditional southern-style buttermilk biscuits. That in itself wouldnt be so bsd, but the gravy wasnt authentic either. No sausage at all in the gravy, it was just white sauce with some pepper added. And lumpy. I suspect it came from a mix. The eggs and meat were ok, and the two-tiered container kept everything warm. I dont really care for hash browns, so I cant really be objective about them. I ordered them extra crispy; they were crispy on the outside but kind of soggy on the inside.
The greeter was named Tammy and she was very nice. The food was great! The waitress was slow in checking on us. We sat for a bit waiting for our check. She was very nice though.
Wow! Most times I get the chicken fried steak breakfast, and is really good. You get the steak smothered in sausage gravy, 2 eggs, hash browns, and 2 pancakes. Now the $13+ price is a bit pricey, however the taste of everything was perfect. This time I got the delicious and spicy pablano pepper omlette w/ shredded beef. Fresh chopped jalapeno on top brought the heat. The table service was attentive, bathroom was clean, recently updated restaurant, and decent parking.
The food was delicious! The delivery arrived sooner than I anticipated, and everything was hot and fresh!
I've been visiting IHOP since I was a kid, and their crepes and pancakes are incredible. Now that I've moved to Salem, I can say that the IHOP here is fantastic!
