Cantonese Express Food - Salinas

I have been coming here since I was a kid and I have never had a bad dish. Excellent quality, good portions and affordable. The Mapo tofu and general chicken are my favorite, and the orange chicken is delicious. I recommend this great local family owned restaurant to everyone!

Very fast and delicious food service and great customer service.

I love this place. It's fast and inexpensive and tasty. I've been coming here for years. My children liked it when they were little and continue to enjoy the food as adults with their own kids. I can call ahead and place my order so when I drive across town its ready to go as soon as I walk in. My food is always hot and tastes great. I'll continue to eat here as long as they are open. Please don't close cuz its so hard to have a great place you love to eat, places come and go. Cantonese Express has been open for as long as I can remember and I've never had a meal I didn't like. AND the owners are really nice and always smiling and take time to say hello and converse with you and others as they take your order and get it ready for you to enjoy. Thank you for the consistency, the great customer service and above all the great food and always being there.

I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes; I received more food than I could finish! One meal ended up lasting me for two meals and a snack, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be back!

I ordered the beef chow fun and it was excellent—perfectly cooked cabbage and tender beef without being oily or greasy. For a small-town restaurant, the flavors are remarkably close to the authentic dishes I used to enjoy growing up. This family-owned and operated restaurant has been around for 13 years.
