Outback Steakhouse - Salinas

The service was slow. My wife requested her steak well done, and I asked for mine medium, but we received neither as ordered. Both steaks were at best lukewarm. The broccoli was wet and cold, and the baked potato was undercooked. We asked one of the servers for the manager, but they never came. Our server seemed more interested in chatting with the hostess than doing his job. We were very disappointed!

I'm visiting the Outback Steakhouse in Salinas, California, and decided to try the sirloin with fries. It was quite good! The waitress and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive, making for a pleasant experience overall.

Not bad, but not amazing either. Price is fair for what you get, but I was not blown away either. Service was nice, friendly and on point while I dined, so that was a major plus in my book. The food was average though, but tasty and enjoyable. It wasn't anything above and above beyond however, so maybe I came in at the wrong time or perhaps next visit will be better. Only time will tell.

Really bad, been to other outbacks that were good, but this one was poor all around. Bad service, waiter was hard to find even with the blinking call waiter sign on table. Menu items were not what was in picture. Missing chives, missing the sauce for crab cakes. Brought us the wrong drink and took forever to get a refil of my water. If I were outback steakhouse I would be revoking their franchise because they are not doing good by your name. You can see in my pictures of menu and the sauce for the crab cakes it is not the same thing.

Decided we’d like a simple steak dinner, but this was terrible. The service was good, but the 1 star is for the food. The potato soup was slimy, the pecan, blue cheese salad was wilted and beginning to brown. My steak was overdone, they were out of sweet potatoes, (early on a Friday evening? and served it with white rice on a white plate. I wasn’t sure what to think when he brought it out...It was simply the worst meal I’ve had in a restaurant in years. My husband’s burger was soaked in yellow mustard that made McDonalds seem like a better option. Even the ice tea was muddy looking and the place was cold because the heater was out. Unsure what’s up with the Salinas location, but someone needs to look into this- absolutely terrible. Again, wait staff and service was good, food and drink- atrocious.
