Panda Garden Chinese - Salinas

My aunt and I were seated promptly upon entering, which was a pleasant start to our visit. They brought us our drinks, and I ordered a soda. Unfortunately, what I received was just a can of soda with no ice, and it was flat. After that, they brought out our food.

This is a great restaurant. It has a pleasant, calming aura to it. Definitely a good quality place to eat

OMG my new favorite! The strawberry milk tea comes with heart shaped boba, I'm obsessed. The owner, Lo-Ann, saw that we ordered all of our dishes extra spicy so she brought us some of her home grown peppers. The gesture was incredibly sweet and the peppers were seriously hot. So basically I am in love, I wish I could give bonus stars. Generally all of the dishes were well made with great flavors, the interior design is cute, chic, and classic. I will be taking my friends and family here in the future!

The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was well-maintained and clean. However, the food is certainly not as good as it used to be under Wendy's management. We are disappointed to say that our Panda Garden days are behind us. The rice was hard and the pan-fried noodles were prepared differently than we remember. We were hopeful when the place changed ownership, especially since we were informed that the same cooks and menu remained, but it's just not the same anymore.

We’ve always passed by Mountain Mike's and wondered about this place, but when the pandemic hit, we never got the chance to try it—until now. I must say, this will definitely be my go-to spot for Chinese food from now on; it was absolutely delicious!
