Reggae Soul Cafe - Salisbury

The customer service was fantastic. We were visiting and craving some authentic Jamaican cuisine. My uncle's wife is Jamaican, so we were looking forward to a genuine experience. Unfortunately, this was not authentic Jamaican food at all! The plantains were stale, seemingly from days before. The curried chicken had no bones and tasted like it was just drenched in curry sauce. The rice appeared to be store-bought; it was nice and included peas but was essentially yellow rice with a few carrot slivers. The beef patties tasted old, and the oxtails were disappointing. The seasoning on the cabbage was off as well.

I’m a fan for life! The food was fantastic and truly authentic, but what really impressed me was the service! I live in New Jersey with family in the area, and from now on, every time I visit, I’ll be stopping by Reggie Soul Cafe for some delicious food.

All the food here is delicious, but my favorites are the Sweet Wings and the ginger beer. I would definitely buy a bottle of their sauce for the Sweet Wings if they offered it. It's a fantastic place, and I'm really happy to have this dining option in Salisbury.

This restaurant is a classic case of hit or miss. There are times when I order, and the food is exceptional—perfectly seasoned, generous portions, and an overall quality meal. However, there are also occasions when the meal consists mainly of rice, the meat lacks flavor, and there's hardly any sauce. If the quality were consistent, I would easily give it a 4 out of 5.

Wow! What an incredible experience! I ordered the curried goat, oxtail with rice and peas, vegetables, and plantains, while my son had the jerk chicken sandwich. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. As a Jamaican, I can confidently say that the food is 100% authentic. Dining in was great, and the atmosphere and music transported me right back home.
