Banbury Cross Donuts - Salt Lake City

I have been getting my donuts from Banbury for . . . 12 15 years maybe. A long time for sure. Today I got the same thing I always get; a plain glaze and a plain cake. This time I got what seemed to be a copy of another glaze donut in town, a chain. I hate their donuts. The cake donut had a void in the center. Perhaps it was meant for a filling of some kind. A shame really, but inevitable. I will not waste the gas any more. Every 7 day store/gas station/drink/car wash/etc., etc., etc. has factory produced packages of donuts that are not that old some of the time, for less money. And with the quality gone from Banbury, why bother.

My experience with this donut shop has been OK. The donuts are very good, however, the service is extremely poor. There is a young gentleman who works there who is very rude and when he takes an order this is how he comes off: Great, another customer, God you 're wasting my time. He generally looks angry that you came in, and that you are a burden. Not only that, I save him the trouble and write down my orders. Does this help? NO. Not only does it not help, but instead of a dozen, I get 11 donuts and half is not what I asked for. What is the point? This is insulting. I will no longer order donuts from this shop, I definitely will not recommend a person to this shop, and I would rather go some place else where they WANT customers.

They have the best fresh doughnuts in town! Made fresh every morning in their little bakery on location, you have to be there early to get your choice of varieties. I recommend the cinnamon-sugar!
