Embe Bakery - Salt Spring Island

This bakery offers a delightful selection of freshly baked goods, and also serves coffee and tea. There are only a few picnic tables outside, so seating is limited (there is no seating inside).

Me and my dad came here for a snack and it was all very good the apple fritters and cookies are very good if you are in Ganges you must visit embes bakery

Having had a wonderful late lunch at a local eatery we walked over to Embe Bakery to get a sweet treat to finish off the meal. Service was fine and the baked goods looked yummy. We bought a strudel and a chocolate covered peanut butter cooked and walked back to the car so we could drive to our place. Along the drive we decided to try the cookie. The chocolate was good but the cookie part was a little mushy, more than moist. A disappointment for sure. Then we tried the strudel. Unfortunately we were not able to finish it. It appeared to be under cooked and had cake inside it. I was not expecting apple strudel cake, and again , a wee bit mushy. This bakery has been here forever so it must be doing something right. Perhaps we were unlucky, but I will look elsewhere next time.

This place is amazing! It’s taste just like stuff mom used to make if mom was an expert baker! The Copenhagen, the cookies, the ham and cheese croissant, the strudel, the sausage rolls1 Try. Them. ALL! Staying at Cottage 18 and being this close to such an amazing place will certainly make us invest in stretchable pants ...

I'm sorry to say that this restaurant in Ganges is not worth a visit. There wasn't much of a selection of enticing treats behind the counter. The service was friendly, but overall, the bakery was very disappointing.
