Trattoria la Campana da Enzo - Salzburg

Lovely food. Friendly service. Didn’t rush us and made us feel welcome. Full of locals. Worth reserving!

We ate dinner here both nights that we were in Salzburg. Excellent food, service and wine. I recommend the caprese salad and the spaghetti bolognese, both delicious! The restaurant is located on the outskirts of the old town.

Enzo and staff offer traditional Italian fare in one of the more quieter laneways of Salzburg's old town. The food was delicious and wine pairing was excellent. While not particularly hungry on the night we visited, my husband and I skipped a starter and both just ordered a main course. I chose a beautiful saltimbocca alla romana with potatoes while he went for sea bass. While the serves were not big, both were satisfying and well cooked. Nothing was too much trouble for the waitress including bring ice to cool our wine and ushering us inside when the heavens opened up before we had finished.The outside seating is comfortable while the inside was intimate.I would recommend this trattoria to anyone wanting Italian fare in Salzburg. It is open on a Monday night when some restaurants were closed.

Trattoria La Campana is situated on Kajetaner Platz in the Old Town of Salzburg. I can higly recommend to visit the Trattoria in the evening ans sitting outside in the summer months. The scenery an the front of the old medieval houses let you feel to be on the Mediterranean Sea. Second plus point is the familiar atmosphere. The restaurant is run by an lovely family together. The cook was asking us after the meal how it was. This is vert rare nowadays. By the way the food was great. So all in all it was a nice evening.

We visited this restaurant after reading reviews on trip advisor as it was not far from our accommodation. As stated previous, it seems to be a husband and wife team, who are very lovely and look after their patrons. We were not hugely hungry as we had a late lunch on our train journey to Salzburg. My 2 teenagers ordered the soup, and said how lovely it was. Coming from Australia, I would have thought some bread would have come with it, but it didn't. My husband and I ordered tortellini in a creamy tomato sauce, which was nice, but fairly basic. All in all it was a nice meal, with nice attention for a comfortable price.
