Írjon visszajelzéstWe had a very bad experiencie, they didn't even knew they were on Open Table, so when we arrived they told us they were about to close, so when I told them we had a reservation they told us they don't make reservations (until I showed them they do). We ordered matzoh ball soup that was ok, and some pastrami and corn beef sandwiches that were uneatable, the sanwiches were only fat, almost none meat, we are not coming back.
I grew up on Jewish deli food and I've been to The Carnegie Deli, The Stage Deli, Rattner's, Wolf's, Cantor's, Jerry's, and Brent's. I don't get what all the fuss about Wise Sons is. It's good, it's fresh, but all three times i've eaten there their corned beef has been a little dry. Their rugelach was dry too. A Jewish deli sandwich should be big and juicy. The pickles were good and fresh, they had a nice snap to them, I just wish they were truly Jewish deli sour pickles. Perhaps I was hoping for something more old world and I got new world. After all, they put Swiss cheese on corned beef. Oy!
This is a genuine deli--something that's hard to find these days. No trendy blended cuisines, no odd combo sandwiches, no pretension. It's just the best in Jewish comfort food. I'll take that any day.
We were visting SF from Boston and had always heard the buzz about Wise Sons. We are so happy we finally made it here. The pastrami rivals our East Coast delis. The latkes are creative and delicious!
Causal Jewish deli cuisine in the Mission. Great Matzo ball soup!
