Creekside Pizza Taproom - San Anselmo

This fantastic local pizzeria and taproom offers an impressive selection of beers. The pizzas are outstanding, and the service is top-notch. They are also strong supporters of the community, actively participating in fundraising and other local initiatives. Truly a gem in the neighborhood!

The appetizers aren't particularly impressive; for example, the garlic parmesan knots are quite small for $7.50. The salads are decent, but I usually just grab a couple of pizzas and make my own salad at home. Parking in San Anselmo can be a challenge. Fortunately, it seems they've finally stopped closing the main street on weekends, which used to be a nightmare; I often had to park several blocks away just to pick up my order. Last night, I was able to pull right up to the door, which was a nice change. As long as something better doesn’t open up, I’ll keep driving to Creekside all the way from Novato to satisfy my pizza cravings!

Creekside is one of my favorite spots in Marin for watching sports games. The food is delicious, particularly the pizza, and my boyfriend enjoys the selection of beers they offer. One of our favorites is the Backdraft pizza, but everything we've tried has been incredibly tasty. The cheese pulls on the pizza are especially impressive. Parking is pretty straightforward, and there's even a bike rack out front for cyclists. Overall, great place for dining in!

The pizza and sides are absolutely delicious! However, it can get quite crowded with families and young children, so if you prefer a quieter atmosphere, it's best to order takeout.

I was feeling generous and let my mom go hog wild on what she wanted on our pizza. It was the strangest mix of vegetables I have ever heard ordered for a pizza (I did draw the line on pineapple in this particular application). I was . . . more resigned than excited to try this pie, but sometimes you just have to Good Daughter, you know? I chose their house salad just in case the pizza proved unbearable and it was AMAZING. And guess what else was amazing? Mom's weird pie. If they can make that mix taste fantastic, I have faith in any other options here (and there are LOADS). And quality local beers to go from the fridge? Don't mind if I do. This spot is a bit out of the way for me, but go out of my way I will! Highly recommended.
