Frederick's - San Antonio

We visited Frederick's for Mother's Day brunch and had a fantastic culinary experience. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. Some of us enjoyed their mimosas, while others raved about the Brussels sprouts and lobster bisque. Our entrees, including lamb chops and beef tenderloin, were cooked to perfection. Lastly, the desserts were out of this world amazing! From tiramisu to homemade cherry ice cream, everyone enjoyed something sweet. The prices may be on the higher side, but it is definitely worth it. Although Frederick's is a bit hidden in the Alamo Heights area, this hidden gem is definitely worth the visit!

The lunches at this restaurant are creative, unique, delicious, and high quality. The atmosphere is elegant with white tablecloths, although it can get quite busy during lunch hours so reservations are recommended. The restaurant is on the smaller side with limited bar seating. Overall, the food is fantastic, but unfortunately, the hostess and server were not very friendly. The server who took our order was abrupt and lacking warmth. This kind of indifferent and cold treatment is unexpected in San Antonio, where restaurant experiences are usually warm and inviting.

Today we visited this restaurant for the first time for Easter brunch with our two daughters, ages 8 and 3. Although it is a classy establishment, we were made to feel welcomed and the staff was excellent with our girls. The food was delicious and both of our daughters enjoyed their children's meals of chicken and fish entrees. However, they were particularly impressed with the mussel chowder my husband ordered, so much so that we had to order extra for them to share. The 3-year-old kept exclaiming, "That is the best soup ever!" and finished every last drop. We had a lovely family meal for Easter and will definitely be returning. It was a fantastic experience.

I came here a while back and thought the food was good, now that I think of it; I'd also not eaten all day. So I was delusional due to hunger.Today I came and it was absolutely horrid. Not only did they sit my party at the ONLY wobbly table, but the server we had was awful. He only came by twice. And the time it took us to get his attention was shocking.The food I ordered us took an hour, and my calamari was as tasteful as a piece of cardboard. I asked the sauce to be put on the side of steak dish and instead they drown the steak in it. Also it's very rude how they discriminate against ppl based on how they dress and act.You should treat all guests equally, I'm a paying customer just like everyone else.I've give this place a chance but I won't be coming back here.*The guy who was serving tea and water was honestly the only decent person working there. Not ignoring anyone.
