Írjon visszajelzéstFirst time visit based on top rated in the area. Ordered the 2 meat/2 sides plate. Ordered the last of the turkey at 14:20 and the brisket. Broccoli rice and spicy green beans. The turkey was fantastic. Tasty and moist. The brisket was not anything fabulous. I was really disappointed in how dry and flavorless it was. The broccoli rice was okay and the green beans were also just okay. I hated that the juice from the green beans ran into my rice despite them placing the green beans in a portion container. The link sausage was tasty similar to V&V brand. The best side I tasted was the potato salad. Creamy, sweet, delicious. They have several pic nic tables and a scan menu. Their desserts looks amazing but I opted to pass.
While the decor may not look much and it's not located in the best area of town, Rusty Bucket is one of the very best restaurants I've ever been to, I ordered the rib plate with 2 extra meats and sides which was only $19! (Which is very inexpensive considering that great BBQ is not cheap), the ribs and brisket was outstanding, the mac cheese and macaroni salad was very good, the employees were also friendly and I love them playing classic hits music in the background, I really had a blast having lunch at Rusty Bucket, if I didn't live in the Austin area I would go there at least once a week! Don't let the decor and the location fool you because this is undoubtably one of the best restaurants I've ever been to!
I've been searching for real good BBQ around me and while Rudy's is great, this is another great BBQ place to add to my list of go-to places. I had the two meat plate with the ribs and brisket. The ribs had a great smoky flavor and the sauce paired well with them. The brisket was one of the best I have had and was tender and had the perfect flavor. The mac and cheese and potato salad are also must-haves.
Rustic little BBQ spot. Nice variety in the menu items... except for vegetarians but I wouldn't exactly EXPECT a BBQ joint to have too many veg choices ?The portion sizes are GENEROUS including the toppings on the baked potato.
Was working at Lackland and looked for a local BBQ place for lunch. So many 5 star reviews with comments like the best BBQ they have ever had. That settled it, I had to go. Parking is kind of difficult, but I committed and there was a food semi truck blocking the exit of the lot.The staff is very friendly and it's nice looking place with a lot of picnic tables. Service is fast, which should have been an indication the food was sitting in a steam table for hours.I ordered the two meat plate with two sides for $15. The quantity of food seemed far for the price. That's where the good ends. The best part of the meal was the smashed potatoes. Creamy and cheesy. The brisket was moist and tender, but that's where it ends. No bark with flavor and a negligible smoke ring. Same with the smoked turkey. No perceptible smoke flavor. The spicy green beans were okay, with little potato nuggets, but not good enough to order again.I'm disappointed that Yelp Elite 23 members gave this 5 stars. I'm questioning whether they are honest reviews or pandering for Elite status. My reviews will always be honest, good, or bad.Parking: Parking is really hard next to the building. You can park across the street.
