Thai-lao Orchid - San Antonio

I give this restaurant a solid 4 stars. I went to the evening and ordered the garlic lover. I can say that eating was hot, fresh and tasty. but it took about 30 minutes to restore the food. the decor was a mixed bar with some esstic in restaurant. the waiter was really nice and attentive and if they asked me, I would recommend this restaurant. However, I would recommend some things to make the experience better. a few recommended to the owner:1. they illuminate the opposite. the dark colors are not flushed with enough lighting to balance the mood. it is dark in the restaurant.2 food speed. Although I didn't order any appetizers, it took over 30 minutes before I refunded it. I would turn a 15-20 minutes around the order placement.3 portion size: portion size was too big. I felt I had two eaten and couldn't be done. I would recommend to reduce the portion sizes easily. however, good work for them and their personal.

Fantastic food and service! we ordered the pad-phet chicken, drunk noodles with bark meat and tom-yum with garnel. everything was cooked and perfectly seasoned. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Rude server. it was a start. when we wanted to find out what kind of roasted rice “Bangkok fried rice” was, the rude answer “it’s just another type of fried rice” from the cook. and when we asked whether it’s like normal “Thai fried rice” she said “I’m sorry that I don’t understand the question”, when I explained “I mean that it’s with “Thai fried rice” the rude answer was: “I cannot speak for other restaurants, we have been here for over 10 years. further and further.’ as a customer I just wanted to understand what I wanted to order. explains why the restaurant was quite empty! I should have known better than to stay.

It's been a couple of years ago, but I was over and got something to go. still the best pad thai in the san antonio area. No one gets the soak or the heat right if I ask. miss near this place.
