La Marea - San Bartolomé

Have been visiting this wonderful restaurant for many years, food is of excellent quality, the freshest meat and fish and always home made chips which I love. the weekends have the most amazing atmosphere with local families eating together. Lovely to watch with great sea views staff work so hard. Just lovely. Our favourite restaurant in Playa Honda!

After researching places to eat in Playa Honda we decided to eat at this restaurant. We ordered paella and sadly we were very disappointed. Our meal was over cooked, over priced and not overly warm. It included two (yes, only two! very over cooked prawns! Having told the staff that our meal was over cooked and dry we were met with disinterest and a comment that surprised us: ‘paella is dry’. Really! Our expectations were far from met and we had to pay €16.50 each. If you’re after a paella you may want to try somewhere else!

There are a number of alternatives on the small stip but this one felt the nicest and the staff were really amazing. Bread was a bit dry but they prepared a vegan paella for us which was fantastic. Lovely views...very peaceful. Would love to go back.

Un restaurante estupendo, estar en primerísima línea de mar ayuda mucho a sentirte en el paraíso, pero la comida y el servicio no se queda atrás, buenos platos y de calidad. Y en cuanto al personal, exquisito, especialmente Myriam, una chica muy agradable, simpática y atenta en todo momento. Siempre repetimos
