Condor - San Bartolomé de Tirajana

Very pleasant. Served by a very friendly and knowledgable waiter. Would definitely go back. We had steak and cordon bleu. Cooked to perfection

Firstly the address shown on Tripadvisor is completely wrong. Had me walk 30 minuters extra tog get to what was the Sandia centre, in the complete opposite direction om Avenida de Allemania! Not the restaurants fault, but still, why is that? Arriving I (a woman of my own) was seated at a table with dirty table cloth, although there were tables with clean linnen avaliable. A man 's cardigan was also hanging over one of the chairs. Never mind , the waitress said when I pointed that out after having told her to change the table cloth. During the whole meal, this unknown male 's presence made itself felt I wondered when he would show up and strike up a conversation with me! Both starters I was interested in were off the menue. Settled for clams as main dish (moules mariniere) which I love, and picked baked potato as side order over rice. Wanted white wine with it but the waitress insisted I should have red instead. Complied because I began suspect there was something wrong with the white wine. Only the wine of the house was avaliable on glass it seemed. I had to remind her of the ordered water she never came with. The potato came with nothing else to it long before the clams. Finally the waitress asked if I wanted a sause with the potato. Yes! The sause and the clams tasted very good thank good. It made up for the salad that was over seasoned with vinegar. The final twist att the bortom of the check was the figure 23, so I thought that was the sum, presenting 30 euros for changes. No, it was 18 she said pointing to a hand written sum, then grabbing my 20 euro bill saying this will be enough , thereby snatching a 2 euro tip I hadn 't intended to give her! Hilarous! I got fed all right, but I think you need to be German it a couple to get the proper treatment here... .

Condor in the Sandia is a good place to eat of an evening. The food is very tasty, freshly prepared to order and comes in generous portions. The house Sangria is full of fruit. The couple who run the place are lovely good sense of humour and excellent service. Just make sure you're hungry before you go.

Slightly more expensive than the others in the La Sandia CC, but it is class. My personal favourite was the Grilled Sirloin WOW was I delighted too true. Complimentary Brandy to finish the night off was expected and received.
