This is a locals restaurant with great atmosphere, friendly staff in a fantastic location right on the beach… unfortunately that’s where the praise ends. We thought we would dine where the locals dine because the food would be authentic and good, and my gosh it was full to bursting…. But the food was beyond terrible. Our paella was more like a risotto that had been microwaved to heat up (any Spaniard should be appalled by this). The fried squid was more rubbery than a tire, and the line fish had been fried for so long it was like eating saw-dust. All-in-all a terrible experience best avoided.
If you want gluten free come here. You can have fried fish sin gluten, ask the waiter and you get it. Good service, good food and sea view. I use to eat paella, octopus salad, fried squids and fried fogonero fish. I have tried many restaurants but they don't want to fry sin gluten!! So I use to come to El Boya, thanks a lot.
