Bootlegger - San Diego

We visited this restaurant before a Padres game and had a great experience. I have to say, the club sandwich was the best I’ve ever had—absolutely amazing! The thick-cut bacon was a standout. The beer was nice and cold, and while the service was good, it was a bit slow given that there were only a few other customers at the time. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We discovered this restaurant while visiting San Diego and were drawn in by its promising bar food atmosphere. However, upon entering on a Saturday evening just before July 4th, we found the place surprisingly empty. The highlight of our evening was definitely the DJ, who was fantastic! Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. Three out of the four people in our group barely touched their meals or returned them altogether. There was only one waitress serving the entire restaurant, which resulted in slow service for food and drinks. By the time we received our bill—after deducting the uneaten items—we realized we had spent around $100, mostly on drinks, just to occupy a table. I give it 4 stars for the DJ!

This place was an absolute blast and great time. My friend was visiting and he is a huge 49ers fan and it’s definitely a 49ers bar so we had a great time. Drinks and service are really good here. Drinks are also fairly priced well too. Good beer selection. Just be aware that the nachos had a bunch of hot sauce on them. Might have just been a one time thing but it seemed rather obsessive. This is all we ate here and it was a great place to watch football at. Definitely can’t wait to come back again.

The food here was amazing, especially the clam chowder. I devoured it so quickly that I didn’t have time to take a picture! The shrimp tacos were delicious, both grilled and breaded. The fish and chips were fantastic as well. Plus, our server treated us like family, and we were a group of 16! I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Came at 6pm on a Wednesday to watch the NBA Warriors vs Celtics game on one of their many TVs. There's happy hour until 7pm with small bites for 7 dollars. Great atmosphere to hang out! Apparently it's bottomless mimosas on the weekend? I gotta check it out!
