Cafe Zucchero - San Diego

We just had dessert and pastries and coffee here. Definitely authentic Italian bakery type food with great lavazza coffee.

Nice atmosphere and food but the service was heavily lacking. Also, note that the salads aren’t necessarily leafy greens.

Excellent Italian food at Nonna Zuchero. We visited Nonna on a Sunday evening at about 7PM. The server who was waiting on us was very helpful and answered all the questions we had about the food we wanted to order. We ended up ordering a salad (Rucola), a pasta dish (Gnocchi Al Pesto) a pizza (Salsiccia, without sausage). The salad was super fresh, but seemed slightly under seasoned. The pasta dish was one of the best pasta dishes I've had in my life. The pasta tasted fresh, and the sauce was very tasty. The pizza, similarly, was one of the best pizza experiences of my life. The crust was robust, the sauce was fresh, and the Calabrian chile and caramelized added a very different flavor to the pizza all of the above worked very well together. I would definitely come back here again in the future.

Delicious food and superb service from our waitress Margaret. The atmosphere was great and our group had a good time dining, every one's dish was as delicious as the other. We will definitely be back there again.

Great food. Highly recommend arancini and pollo parmigiana. MUST TRY the italian soda with vanilla. Huge portions.
