Good fish, all was fresh. Ryan our server was attentive and helpful throughout and you can't really beat the view at a fire pit looking out over Mission Beach.Food: 5/5
Sushi on a rooftop on the beach. You can’t beat it! Plus the sushi is so good, very fresh and the real curveball was the Poke bowl, it’s almost a civeche and it comes with some nice chips to dip in its very refreshing and light. The service was great and the drinks tasty as always! Bring a whole squad out here and have a time either in the sunshine over the water or at night when they bring the fire pits out to pregame a great night out! Love this spot! ?
Where to begin... First of all, we drove over an hour to come to Mission Beach just to come to this restaurant, with high hopes of having a great dinner and watching a beautiful sunset from their awesome balcony. After spending a little time on the beach and the boardwalk we made our way to the restaurant when we arrived we were told that they could set us pretty much right away or put us on the waiting list for the Oceanside about 20 minute wait obviously we opted to be put on the approximately 20 minute wait for the ocean side. After a little more than 15 minutes, setting in the cool waiting area. They sent a text letting use know that the table was ready. We all came to the hostess station and the escorted us back we went way towards the back along the balcony to a table against the wall away from the ocean side we explained to the hostess that we were waiting for the ocean side and she went and found someone, the very rude and hostile blonde lady that she found told us that that 's all they had and she would put us back on the waiting list behind everyone else for the ocean side if we would like it would probably be another 20-30 minutes we were starving by now a very disappointed that we didn 't get to set where we were wanting but to keep from running the entire evening we went ahead and took the table by the wall after about 8 to 10 minutes no one had showed up to bring us water or take our orders or drinks we finally decided that this was not the place we were expecting, and we left the sticky table and returned the menus to the hostess stand on our way out ironically enough we passed three four top tables along the way on the rails facing the ocean.Vegetarian options: yesKid-friendliness: noParking: far awayWheelchair accessibility: yes, with long wait for elevatorDietary restrictions: no
This place is a vibe. Rooftop sushi, with a view of the ocean, at a relatively fair price given everything it offers, you really can’t complain. The sushi was all very good, I actually liked the sushi burrito for most. Everything tasted fresh, and was enjoyable. I wouldn’t say that it’s the best sushi in SD, but it’s definitely as much about the food as it is about the experience. The food all arrived at a timely manner and our waiter was very nice too. Definitely would recommend!
