This place becomes one of my favorite Thai food restaurants in San Diego!! We came here for a simple dinner, but it turns out to be a great dinner. The foods here are so so so delicious. I highly recommend all we ordered tonight. Which is miang kham, young coconut soup and pompano. Especially the pompano, it tastes like the Pom fish that my mom cooked when I was little. The fish is super fresh and the ginger sauce is right good and not overly heavy. I'll come back for sure to try other dishes. Plus the service here is very sweet and friendly.
What went beyond amazing for me was the flavor profile of authentic Thai food. I can’t tolerate any spicy which when removed can sometimes reveal bland food. What a delight to have a dish that was a flavor explosion of perfectly balanced seasonings, fresh vegetable medley accompanied by soft steamy brown rice. Kudos to Sukko Thai I will definitely be back soon! Oh yes, I ordered the mock duck with cashew.
Really exciting Thai restaurant that celebrates staples of the cuisine. The Miang Kham is a must and currently my favorite appetizer in the whole city. It just hits all the notes of Thai food in one super satisfying bite. I went here with my super spicy friends and even though we eat 8s at other Thai restaurants (see Plumeria), wouldn't recommend going past 6 here. We still enjoyed the meal greatly and definitely recommend!
It’s hard to put into words just how good the food is here. I’ve been to numerous highly-rated Thai restaurants between San Diego and LA – this is one of the best I’ve eaten at. Try the Thai BBQ pork!
