Gaslamp Breakfast Company - San Diego

Sat at the bar on a weekday for breakfast/brunch. I had the American Breakfast. Food and service were great. Felipe is super nice and accommodating. He checked on me several times to make sure I was good.My only complaint is that half of the bar is directly next to the customer restrooms. I kept getting gross, stinky wafts of bathroom smell, which was incredibly off putting while eating. I almost didn't order food.Management If you're gonna have the bathroom right there, make sure your staff is cleaning it HOURLY. I would have stayed longer, but I had to leave because the stale portapotty stench was grossing me out. I didn't even use their bathroom because if it smelled like it did, it couldn't have been that clean. EW.

Visited from Texas and this was our first breakfast spot. It’s a very cute breakfast place but the food and service disappointed us. We waited quite a while for our food while others who got sat after us were receiving theirs. The food was not very tasty. However, the orange juice was delicious but was served in a tiny glass. Props to our waitress who was nice though.

Awesome music, very party like vibe even in the morning. I tried the crème brûlée French Toast with the wake and bacon. It was absolutely delish! The staff is pretty busy so you may have to flag down someone for a refill lol. I recommend for awesome brunch and drinks!

The ambiance/atmosphere was very cute and welcoming. Sat at the bar, and the bartender was very friendly. I am vegan, so this place has some good vegan options. Had the vegan omelette, which could’ve had more flavor. Unexpected fried oyster mushrooms, but they were sautéed. Def would’ve been better fried. I enjoyed the meal though. Would’ve liked to see options of vegan cheese and vegan butter, which I would strongly recommend to this restaurant. . Not sure how these restaurants give someone a vegan meal and then toast with cow’s milk butter.

Normally really good. But this time my food came out 15 minutes later than the others at my table. When it arrived, my table was already done eating. No apologies were made, the staff acted like this was normal. When the food arrived, I was told to ‘be careful because it’s hot’ — but the plate/food were lukewarm at best. I wish more restaurants took ownership vs. hoping the guest doesn’t speak up
