Influx Cafe Little Italy - San Diego

I went to this little coffee shop from the zoo, which was about twenty minutes walk, but it was worth it. Seth, the Barista, was fantastic. He was friendly and made me feel like a normal. I have an icy mocha and a feta 2, based on his recommendation. It is actually a vegetarian sandwich and was delicious and simply big enough that after eating half I was full. The Feta 2 contains: hummus, feta, sliced red onion, cucumber, tomatoes, mixed greens served on Focaccia. There are many seats, the food tastes great, and the coffee was delicious. A definitive stop, especially if you are in Italy.

I went for breakfast, only Bagel menu was available. I ordered a cappuccino and spicy vegan as recommended by the staff. The paprika was extremely bitter. Fortunately, the staff (a different individual) was friendly and replaced instead for a chai latte. I cried, sniffed and sweated the spicy vegan bagel. I eat spicy, can usually treat a medium spicy or spicy in Thai restaurants, but this bagel is Thai-spicy level.

Don?t come if you are looking for something quick. Place only had two people ordering breakfast in front of me. Took 15 mins for them to make a bagel with eggs and bacon. Barista also was petting a dog then never washed her hands. Chai tasted good.

This is my favorite little local coffee shop in Little Italy. Each time I visit, it's nice to know that the baristas there know me and can even complete my order as I start to say it. To give you an example of the vibe here, I went in a few weeks ago and they accidentally forgot to bring out my drink with food because they were slammed inside. I've been slowly moving to a new place since then, so I hadn't been in like 3 weeks but I normally went at least once a week. Anyway, the woman at the register gave me a complimentary cookie because she remembered that the last time I was there, my drink came out super late. I guess it happened on her watch, and she felt a little guilty but she totally didn't have to, and I was really touched by the gesture. I've never had anything like that happen at a certain major coffee chain (you know the one) not knocking them, but I just don't get that level of treatment there. Anyway, this is an amazing spot good drinks, good food, good people, good vibes. Check it out if you haven't already. I may bump into you on occasion there because even though I've moved to a new neighborhood I still plan to hit up Influx if I'm in Little Italy during their business hours.

Awesome coffee shop! Friendly service and great coffee! Found this best coffee shop when I was stayed at a hotel nearby Little Italy I saw the good reviews decided to give it a shot rather than Starbucks and I sure wasn 't disappointed great service extremely friendly an even better coffee they put it all together for you before giving it to you also when I came back an hour or so later because it was so awesome they gave me a cheap refill that was a shock! I was already planning on writing a good review! Thank you for making my morning!
