Lotus Thai Downtown - San Diego

The food was disappointing. We were a party of 6 and mistakes on an order. Correct order did not arrive until all others were eaten. No excuse, no offer to adjust the bill. Would not return

The food was excellent. We started with the dumplings. For the main course we ordered Panang Curry with Tofu, Drunken noodles, Spicy Eggplant, Red Curry with Tofu and Spicy fried rice. Red curry was also spicy for our spicy palette, but everything else was delicious. Service was also very good. Overall an unforgettable experience.

Traveling to San Diego when I found this jewel. Half an hour walk from my hotel was worth the effort. Green curry was tasty, well seasoned and good portion size. Will return to my next trip.

The restaurant is in a convenient location when you visit and stay close to the convention center. It took a while to get my order. The food was okay. A little on the Bland side to me compared to other Thai restaurants I had. I ordered the fried banana w/ ice cream dessert and it took a while to get out. When it finally came out, the ice was half melted and it wasn't so good. Nice staff, but I wouldn't go back if I were back in town.

Green shrimp curry, cashew nut with pork (bit into chile, suffered intensely), red shrimp curry, and Pad Thai (a bit greasy on the egg). Very tasty, good service, manager was kind and responsive to turn down thumping beat which disturbed dining comfort, and substitute more gentle music.
