Írjon visszajelzéstLumi has a great view as is a great overall experience. The lighting is great the scene is the amazing best time to come is typically March-oct when the temperature is just right in the cold season even though they have the nice heaters available it can still be a bit chilly mostly because they are spread out in a wide distance that sometimes does not overlap correctly. The menu is refreshing as the cocktails are great. The sushi is nicely prepared and offers a great tastethat is very Insatiable. The view is why you come here and portraits or nice pictures of downtown are perfectly picked and available for people to take pictures. The best time to go is 4-7 while the sun is setting. It's best for under 8people to have a great experience. The bar is very welcoming if you are single and are looking for a great stimulating conversation with others.
I had an amazing experience at Lumi! The food was fantastic, especially the Nazo 9 Box which was a unique and delicious treat. The fish was of high quality and the Peruvian Asian sauces added a fun twist to each dish. We also enjoyed two bartender's choice gin drinks, which were creative and tailored to our preferences. Our server, Sage, provided excellent care and recommendations despite being new. I highly recommend Lumi for anyone seeking exceptional sushi in the Gaslamp area.
Lumi is one of the top three best sushi restaurants I have ever been to. It is also among my top three favorite restaurants in San Diego. Located on a rooftop in the Gas Lamp district, the restaurant itself is an experience worth having. The food is amazing and exceptionally unique, blending Japanese and Peruvian cuisines seamlessly under the direction of Michelin-Starred chef Akira Back. We started with the Akira Back Pizza, then enjoyed a variety of Lumi Specialty Rolls and Nigiri. My personal favorites were the Surf N Turf roll and the Red Snapper Nigiri. For dessert, we tried both the Mochi and the AB Cigar, both of which were delightful. The cocktails are original and inspired by Japanese flavors, and they also offer Sake flights and a wide range of other drinks. To top it all off, our server Tim was exceptional. He was charming, knowledgeable, and provided excellent recommendations to ensure we had the best dining experience possible. While Lumi is an incredible restaurant, Tim truly enhanced our experience and guided us to make the most of what it has to offer.
The aesthetics of this place are very pleasing. The sushi was exquisite, but had some interesting flavors. Not bad but I would not order the Lumi roll again. I had to see urchin for the first time it was awesome that they sold it. Definitely recommend trying something new! The music was nice but the seating was rather uncomfortable. I was eating over my knees leaning over the whole time. Our waiter Jose did a fantastic job at keeping the water filled and gave me agreat suggestion on how to eat the sea urchin with lemon and Siracha.
This was my first time at Lumi and since I am allergic to seafood, I was able to review all of the non-seafood items. We sat at the bar, which had plenty of room for two people ordering dinner. There was no need to wait for a table, as the bar staff were attentive and we did not feel like we were lacking anything. I ordered the house slushy, which was tasty and not too sweet. We also tried the beef tartare, chicken karaage, miso soup, and then we ran out of stomach space. We saved some room for a sake flight with mochi dessert at the end. It was fun trying to pair the sake with the different mochi ice cream flavors and it worked well! I would definitely come back; the kimchi fried rice is on my list. The rooftop bar was a bit breezy once the sun went down. The staff were all very helpful and the atmosphere had an energetic and slightly loud music vibe.
