Lupe's Taco Shop - San Diego

Love finding a good Mexican spot :3 This place is good I literally got their spicy shrimp burrito 3 times in a week so yum

Tried this place while my friends were next door at Buffalo wing star. I ordered 2 tacos al pastor and a birria taco. Took my lunch back to see two tiny tacos de al pastor. They are the mini size tortillas. Not sure if it was a mistake but the menu offers 5 mini tj tacos. I did not order 5. And if so what the hell does a mini look like if the ones I got are regular? So $14 for 3 tacos and I'm still hungry. Definitely not coming back.

UPDATE: just I had to chase my tiny 15 dollar burrito down with a cup of ramen noodles because it wasn't very filling. I'm finally gonna say it...fuq this place!!! this has been my fifth and will be my final time on giving this place another chance! never fails to disappoint with their shiesty portion amounts that don't match the price point. Shitty service all five times I've gone with rude counter employees and impeccably long wait times for the simplest food order to come out even when there's nobody else in the restaurant and it's evident that online orders aren't even filling the board. Adios Lupe, I'll keep sticking with Super Sergios down the road!

I have been going to Lupes for a while and never had any issues until today, so they must be under new ownership. I placed an online order through their website and picked it up without issue. Once we got home, we opened the order up and noticed that instead of (1) Carne Asada Fries and (1) Campechana Fries we received (2) Carne Asada Fries. No big deal, I called the store, explained the situation, and asked for a refund for one of the fries. This was the ensuing conversation with whoever answered the phone. We can 't process any refunds here, you have to request a refund through the site that you placed the order with. ...ok, but I placed the order through your website, so what 's the process for requesting a refund? You just go to the site and request a refund. We can 't process any refunds here. I get that, but do you know what I specifically need to do on the website to request the refund, or are you just telling me to **** off? I don 't know the steps; you just go to the site and request a refund. We can 't process any refunds here. Alright, message received. I go to their website, enter their ordering system through my account, and surprise surprise...there is no option to request a refund. So, now I just threw away money on food I didn 't even want and to be honest wasn 't even that good. See the picture for yourself, everything was undercooked from the meat to the fries, and they forgot the Pico de Gallo. I 'm really not one to write a review for every petty grievance, but if you take my money then refuse to refund it when you don 't provide the product you promised, what else can I do to feel better about being taken advantage of? Buyer beware of Lupes...

Like previous reviews, dining at Lupe's is hit or miss. I've had many great meals here before but today seemed a bit lackluster. I ordered the Lupe's in Cali burrito which severely lacked the chipotle sauce, making the burrito really dry. I was REALLY craving the chipotle sauce, it's my fave (tear). Luckily, I didn't write this review before actually finishing my burrito. After getting halfway through my burrito, I counted only two pieces of shrimp. Turns out, they were all at the other end of the burrito. I saw a tray of loaded fries pass by and will def stop by to try those as they looked SO good.
