Írjon visszajelzéstFirst time here and it did not disappoint. Beautiful atmosphere and beautiful food. Recommend the Beef Ribs but got a late recommendation for next time; the Philabuster with Tri Tip and the Tri Tip Fries.
Phil's in Rancho Bernardo. The food was great. We loved the onion rings. Personally, I liked the beef ribs more than the pork. The bbq sauce was also good. We ordered the loaded fries and they were decent. Staff were good and dining area was clean. Would definitely recommend and revisit.
Really enjoyed my beef rib dinner. Generous portions. Not a huge fan of the order at the front counter arrangement and with little kids not a fan of having to go pick our meals up and get all our silverware, etc ourselves. That said, a very family friendly atmosphere. Cornbread was delish. Prices rocked me back on my heels a bit, but that 's pretty much the story everywhere right now. $29.99 for 3 beef rib dinner, which included very meaty ribs and 2 sides.
Definitely worth a try. The atmosphere was kind of funny. I like that you have the opportunity to sit in the bar with full service or choose the area that serves more self. There is also a covered veranda to enjoy your meal. Restrooms are clean, open handwashing station to go utensils, towels; they have ready for measurable fingers!
Visited Phil's BBQ 7 years ago and immediately became my favorite! So when our family went to San Diego area, it was on my #1 must eat list. My Hubby was skeptical at first, but he's a fan now! We went to the super late lunch at 4:30 a.m. after visiting Safari Zoo and it was pretty quiet. We decided to sit on the veranda with cover as it was quite hot this day. We ordered half baby ribs dinner with Pommes Coleslaw. We added pork to our meal since we were starving. The order came quite fast in about 10 minutes. The part was quite large and we were filled at the end of the meal. Baby back ribs: perfectly cooked delicate meat. The sauce was sweet tangy (cheek kiss!!! . pull pork: has the same delicious sauce as the baby back ribs. The meat was still tender (not dried). It was goooood! fries: good crispy and not too salty. coleslaw: good creamy crisp. But I like my Koleslaw that a tad sweet Hubby wanted to come back during our trip, but unfortunately we had no time. He said we had to go back to San Diego the next time.
