Tender Greens - San Diego

The salads at this Tender Greens were very good as usual but the service was not as good as I have experienced at other locations. My salad came out within about 10 minutes but my partner 's order was completely forgotten. She received her salad after I asked about it. Her salad was brought to the table with a very quick 'sorry for the delay .

Today is 5/23/23. My wife stopped Tender Greens at 7:50 pm for take out and there is no 1 in line, restaurant has 3 different tables who are already eating their food, and 3 take outs already made sitting on the shelf for pick up. My wife ordered 2 grilled salmon plates and it took 30 minutes for her to get the food. Are these special magic salmon that takes over 12 minutes to grill? Salmon takes 12 minutes to grill. After 15 minutes, my wife asks for an update, to which they said it's being prepared. 10 minutes later she asks again and again they say it's being prepared. The place is dead and no 1 else has come in after her to order food. There isn't an apology for the long f'ing wait. Just a here's your food. Talk about crappy a service. Tender Greens management, you guys need to re-train your staff because my little kids have better manners.

I’ve been coming to this location for quite a while now. The food is great. The only thing that caught my eye during this visit in particular was the manager (or who I assume was the manager seeing as he was the only one in a black uniform) coughing and talking on the phone while facing the food. He did cover his mouth with his elbow, but like maybe turn around and cough next time? Not facing the food???

Good food. Went in about an hour before they close. They were out of a couple of things but it was still good. Seating inside or outside. Dog friendly outside.Food: 4/5

Tender greens and urban plates had recently released chicken sandwiches and I had heard good things about both places, so I decided to go try them both out. Tender greens by far has a better chicken sandwich compared to urban plates and honestly it might apply to food quality in general. I had to wait a little while to get my food from here because every chicken sandwich is made to order. The wait is 100% worth it. The sandwich is juicy, the sauce and slaw are amazing. I know it's an unorthodox order for tender greens but I recommend at least trying it out.
